Partnership Working

Goathland School is a founder member of the Yorkshire Coast Education Partnership (YCEP) which was formed in February 2022 to create a strong family of schools with a shared determination to improve outcomes for all children.  Work so far has included the development of a shared EYFS curriculum progression document, moderation of maths and English and the ongoing development of subject leadership.

The school is also a member of the Esk Valley Alliance and benefits from a shared ambitious and outward-looking curriculum plan over a four year rolling programme. Close working relationships enable us to share good practice, moderate judgements in foundation subjects, share resources, trips and outings and provides an excellent broad and balanced education for our children.  Our curriculum recognises the wealth of opportunities provided by our local area as well as recognising those areas that are challenging due to our locality.
